Check out this awesome idea. The move away from industrialized food is a necessity.
So go toss them a few dollars if you can! This is a noble project indeed.

I saw your blog on /adv/. You make excellent points. You have recognized the symptoms, and pointed out methods of curing them. But you have yet to recognize the disease. So society will be forever ill.
Oh, well by that logic you could just keep saying "what's causing _____" It's good to draw the line at apathy and ignorance because they are things everyone has control over.
While that is true, characteristics like ignorance and apathy are states of mind demonstrated by certain behaviors. When diagnosing diseases, behavior are only symptoms of a particular disease. I feel that labeling apathy and ignorance as the disease is like labeling vomiting and cramps as diseases, rather than symptoms of one - cholera.
Behaviors are heavily influenced by external factors. While they are things that people have control over, how can one make a large number of people change? It is only through external forces. This blog is an external force to someone who reads it. The same forces that can make people educated and involved are forces which can make people apathetic and ignorant by promoting a certain state of mind. It is the source of these external forces that can be considered diseases or cures. This is why I believe it is important to keep asking what the source is. What causes people to be this way?
Well, people get information from friends and mainstream news. Who runs the mainstream news? What kind of connections do they have? Why might these people be interested in promoting a society of apathetic, consumeristic individuals? This is why I say apathy and ignorance are only symptoms. The disease is unregulated capitalism.
Yes, one could say, what causes x, but eventually it will all end with, "We do not know yet." That question is, "Why is the universe the way it is." So it is not an infinite series of questions.

I disagree, I have recognized the disease, and it is apathy and ignorance.
Apathy and ignorance are symptoms. What is causing the apathy and ignorance? Cui bono?
